wow – thanks so much for posting this Pierre. What an amazingly articulate – thoughtful and sensitive man.

His reminder that discrimination actually hurts – and putting a human face on the people to whom homophobic discrimination is targeted and deeply impacts was powerful.

What a great video. As more and more sports people come out and share their story, it’s got to have a positive effect on our larger community. Stigma will break down and others will be more free to be who they are.

Thank you, Pierre. Good stuff. If only we could see an AFL player come out. (There are strong rumours re a couple.) And some more NRL guys too. (Been no-one since Ian Roberts and that’s s o o o long ago now.)

Gus’ story is also part of the Fair go, sport! program aimed at promoting safety and inclusiveness for GLBTI people involved in hockey.
