Hi all,

I had the somewhat daunting privilege of sharing part of my story at the uniting women's conference last year.

It was certainly a gift from God as it felt like I really had come full circle. From feeling like I had no place within the church (because of my sexuality) to standing in front of a Christian women's conference – out and proud.


I thought I'd share the audio (about 10 minutes) from this conference – it may be of interest to those who have followed my story on this forum or may even offer some hope that things can indeed move from darkness and despair to hope and light.

Wow! You spoke so well and covered so much in such a short space. Congratulations! 🙂

And thanks so much for sharing this. I love that idea of "re-storying" your life and would love to know more about it. It reminds me of the narrative approach and of play, which is rather fitting given your career choice. And when I think about it, everything worth telling is told in a story from the heart.

I believe we each have the power to change the scripts and story of our life, constantly renewing and inventing ourselves to be the best person we can be. And you definitely are the living, breathing example of that; an evolving wise woman living your truth. 🙂
